Overview

While at IFZA, Julia Timms directed, designed and implemented Scale360, IFZA's flagship SME growth accelerator. The objective was to move beyond traditional business support and create a repeatable, high-quality growth platform aligned to IFZA's wider ecosystem strategy.

The challenge

IFZA needed an accelerator that was credible with experienced founders, commercially aligned, partner-enabled rather than resource-heavy, and scalable across cohorts and sectors. The goal was not a one-off programme, but a platform that could evolve and endure.

The approach

Our Founder with the Scale360 team led the end-to-end design and launch of Scale360, including:

  • Defining the programme strategy and value proposition
  • Designing the cohort structure, curriculum and growth themes
  • Curating and onboarding delivery partners and mentors
  • Launching and delivering Cohort 1 and establishing a repeatable model

A deliberate choice was made to use an ecosystem-led, partner-enabled delivery model, allowing IFZA to integrate specialist expertise without building everything in-house.

Outcomes

  • Successful delivery of Cohort 1 with strong founder engagement
  • A validated, modular accelerator model ready for replication
  • Cohort 2 launched using the original programme foundations
  • Scale360 established as a scalable IFZA growth platform

Relevance to ICANEO

Scale360 is a practical example of how growth ecosystems can be designed, implemented and scaled inside large organisations. ICANEO builds on this experience, applying the same principles to corporates, Free Zones and institutions seeking partner-enabled, white-label growth platforms.
